he really isn’t much, but my, oh, my, what does that even mean?
he never could be careful, always refused to keep his damned hands clean.
a small town, middle classed man; born into chaos and born on the run,
chasing girls with salty smirks and loaded golden guns.
my 7/11 sweetheart; heroin hugs and classy cocaine kisses,
he’s shootin’ bullets at the angels, but it’s god he always misses.
white wings plummet from callused clouds, his mama claims he’s sick,
just chewin’ on his toothpicks and painting his addictions with acrylics.
bad boys, bad boys,
whatchya gonna do?
he’s not so much a careless cowboy, but a dirty, rotten thief,
tatted up from head to toe and hell beneath his blistered feet.
honey, oh, darlin’, never wanted money and never liked iced tea,
content with biting fingernails, behind the wheel, coke and whiskey.
aviator eyes, and our slick-like-serpent tongues,
found me at the corner store and took off to catch some purple suns.
we’ve been leaving marks in trailer parks ever since we started dating.
we’re the wicked, no good highway junkies, and satan must waitin’.
bad boys, bad boys,
whatchya gonna do?
i dye my hair, sweet cherry soda, he forgets to brush his teeth.
he told me life is wonderland through the rusted gates of lunacy.
i’m his primary memento; obsessed with reds, meds, and pearly whites.
we’re just diamonds in the gutter, a lit beneath the city streetlights.
sparking joints with cigarettes and sucking limelight up our noses,
i’ve never been the type of guy to take heavy hearts in tiny doses.
i’m his corner store anarchist and he’s my diet pepsi king,
it may be lust or blasphemy; my beautiful, hades sent, dangerous darling.
bad boys, bad boys, well, whatchya gonna do?
whatchya gonna do when madness comes for you?
